DUPAGE CHARACTER BUSINESS NETWORK STRIVES TO IMPROVE CHARACTER IN SMALL BUSINESSES. The DuPage Character Business Network Steering Committee continues to meet monthly at Aramark (7:30 am the 4th Wed. of each month except December). Deby Baker from Woodland Windows and Doors and Ray Benedetto of GuideStar Conaulting are the Co-Chairs for 2008. The Committee is actively seeking more businesses to join for networking, Quarterly Forums and Character@Work training sessions. The next Quarterly Roundtable will be on November 11, 2008.

LINCOLN CENTER CONTINUES SCALED-BACK OPERATIONS! Due to a lack of sufficient on-going funding, The Board of Directors of The Abraham Lincoln Center for Character Development decided to reduce operations of the organization to the bare minimum. On June 1, 2007, The Lincoln Center ceased operations in its original form, eliminated its paid staff and vacated the ROE office space. The Lincoln Center website, e-mail and a few related programs are being operated by the Board of Directors and volunteer staff to accomplish the mission, but on a limited scope and scale. [more...]
