Services
The Abraham Lincoln Center for Character Development provides support to schools, families, businesses, civic & youth-serving organizations and whole communities in the areas of character development training, measurement and evaluation services and community coalition-building.
Character Content & Implementation Training
There are many ways, approaches, and methods to emphasizing and implementing character development. The Lincoln Center provides support and training for the assessment, adoption and teaching of core ethical values such as the Six Pillars of CHARACTER COUNTS! Training classes are offered on a regular basis by our experienced and qualified staff. Customized school staff development and business or community-wide sessions are also available.
Measurement & Evaluation
The outcomes from character development activities can be many and varied, but also difficult to assess. A unique process has been created for measuring the impact of character development efforts using the Global Portraits for Social and Moral Heath. This survey provides a means for making data-driven decisions for schools and communities regarding the focus of time and energy and the allocation of valuable resources.
Coalition Building Consulting
The character development efforts in homes and schools are most successful when supported throughout the whole community. A process has been developed for creating community-wide character coalitions. Consulting and support is available using the successful experiences and activities of dozens of communities.
