Ken Fisher
Former Executive Director, now Ambassador-at-Large
Ken is the founder and Executive Director of The Abraham Lincoln Center for Character Development. Ken became involved in character education through the Healthy DuPage-sponsored Character Development Coalition as a part-time "on-loan executive” from his position as Director of Training at ServiceMaster and most recently, ARAMARK.
After two years, the project required full-time leadership and grew into The Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit organization that was founded on February 12, 2003. The Lincoln Center has official partnerships with Character Counts! and The Character Education Partnership.
Ken served on the national Leadership Council of Character Counts! and presently is on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Excellence and Ethics. Ken has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles in the human resource development areas at ARAMARK, ServiceMaster and Arthur Andersen. He also worked for over 10 years in the field of education as a high school teacher, college counselor and Dean of Students. Ken has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Botany and a Master’s in Education from Ohio University. He and his wife Bunny, a high school English teacher, have two grown children, five grandchildren and live in Winfield, IL
